- Augustus's actual name would not be revealed in-comic until Pillow Talk[1] - he is referred to by the nickname "Gussie" by Toby beforehand, and that wouldn't be until Moving On.[2] Until (and even after) he received a name, he was called "Final Fantasy Cat" by readers - and David[3] - for quite some time.
- In the Bittersweet Candy Bowl popularity poll, Augustus has consistently ranked 3rd in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
