Another Chance is a non-canon Bittersweet Club International-exclusive comic asking what would have happened if Abbey had never pulled Augustus off Daisy during the Love My Way carnival. With nobody riding to her rescue, Daisy is left to sort out the creep herself.
Partial synopsis
After Mike rejects Daisy at the carnival,[1] Augustus pins her against a tree and kisses her by force. Crying, Daisy tells herself she deserves it.[2] In canon, Abbey’s hand shoots out of the darkness and pulls Augustus away at that moment.[3] Here, nobody comes, so Daisy must face Augustus herself.
Augustus says his scheme was meant to stop Daisy from pretending around her friends.[4] Still crying, she asks why he did not simply talk to her. She reminds him of their conversations every recess and how she defended him to her friends.[5] “I was BEGINNING to like you!!” she cries. “Then you just go and spit in my face!!”[5] Augustus turns and walks away.[5]
He doesn’t get to walk away that easily, though. Daisy has no intention of letting a tight-lipped, coat-wearing creep slink off into the night with his secrets intact. Whether she can pry the truth out of him, and whether anything between them is worth saving after a night like this, is left for the remaining pages to answer.
Character dynamics

- Daisy and Augustus: During their recess talks, Augustus won Daisy’s trust, and she defended him to her friends. At the carnival, she tells him that she had begun to like him before he threw that trust away.[5] In canon, Abbey interrupts the assault by pulling Augustus away.[3] With Abbey absent, Daisy confronts Augustus herself.
Trivia & observations
- Daisy’s defeated opening thought, “I deserve this..”, comes straight from the parent page. It is the very thing she’s thinking in canon at the instant Abbey’s hand arrives.[2][3]
Related chapters
- Love My Way: The parent chapter contains the forced kiss that opens this what-if. In canon, Abbey pulls Augustus away.[3] Nobody intervenes here.[2]
- Moving On: Canon resumes the same night here. Augustus reports to Alejandro and Toby about the carnival. Alejandro threatens him during the conversation.[6]
- Total Recall: In this chapter, published three years after the side story, Augustus speaks to Daisy alone about the carnival night and admits he “didn’t plan to go too far”.[7]
