Sob Story
Sob Story is a non-canon BCI exclusive that takes place during the main cast's sophomore year. A writer for the school newspaper, Sue struggles to find the subject of her article; when Paulo brushes her off, she finds a scoop with Augustus instead.

Synopsis
Sue sits at a desk across Paulo and asks him about his home life, his time management, and any hardships he faced growing up. Paulo answers the way she and most others would expect: with deflection, disinterest, and dismissal. After angrily handing over the chocolate bar she had to bribe Paulo with for the interview, Sue berates him for not caring enough about representing Roseville's underprivileged students. Paulo says bluntly that "[he] won't be [Sue's] sob story" and leaves.
Wanting to write about the "underfunded education system" Sue starts to worry she won't have an interviewee because the rest of her friend group is well to-do; in walks Augustus, the perfectly imperfect subject. He agrees to an anonymous interview for her article, but Sue's ideals might be shaken by what she learns.

- While not a canon event, Sob Story provides more detail to Augustus's home life.
- Sob Story mentions Craig, who was only ever seen in Pillow Talk. He seems to have found a new calling in making anime comics.
